I'm a Regulatory Analyst in the Energy division at the Essential Services Commission.
After finishing my law degree, I joined a commercial law firm but after spending some time there, I realised it wasn't the right fit.
There's so much I like about life at the commission. My role is intellectually challenging but not abstract. I feel like I'm contributing to something real. I also love that the commission actively promotes the development of its staff. I get to learn from smart people who are generous with their time and invested in my success.
I'm really involved in the commission's diversity and inclusion initiatives. I'm personally very passionate about the workplace being inclusive and tolerant for everyone so to actually be able to contribute to that is really important to me.
When I'm not at work, I enjoy going to the gym, listening to '90s music, and watching Netflix. Probably not all at once. David Letterman's interview series, My Next Guest Needs No Introduction is really good! I recommend it.
