Berrybank Developement Pty Ltd – application for electricity generation and wholesale licence

Berrybank Development Pty Ltd (ABN 94 146 466 882) applied for a licence to generate electricity for supply or sale, and to sell electricity by wholesale, under section 18 of the Electricity Industry Act 2000 (Vic).

They propose to generate electricity using 43 wind turbines (total capacity 180MW) at Berrybank Wind Farm, located off the Hamilton Highway in Corangamite Shire and Golden Plains Shire approximately 80km west of Geelong, Victoria.

We may grant or refuse applications for any reason we consider appropriate having regard to our objectives under the Electricity Industry Act 2000 (Vic) and the Essential Services Commission Act 2001 (Vic).

We granted the licence on 14 July 2020.
